In Every Atom of Your Being: Our Lyrical Life - Volume 1

"Music is in every atom of your being."

On May 26, 1991, a prophetic word was spoken over a young couple named Chris and Carol Green — a word that would shape over three decades of songwriting, ministry, and family legacy. In Every Atom of Your Being: Our Lyrical Life is the deeply personal story behind that word, and the remarkable body of music it produced.

What do you do with a BIG calling that must play out in obscurity?

Since the early 1980s, Chris and Carol have been writing songs and poetry to address the real issues of life — love, marriage, family, and faith. What began as notebooks exchanged between two eventual college sweethearts grew into scores of songs written to teach, comfort, and heal — first for the teenagers and young adults in their care, then for entire congregations, and now, for generations to come.

This book tells that story: how weekly Bible lessons became songs teenagers could sing and live by... how a portable tape recorder captured melodies born in the middle of the night... how a neighborhood food ministry swelled to fifty families gathering not only for groceries, but for worship... and how one young mother's testimony of her "miracle baby" forever changed the way Chris and Carol understood the purpose of their music.

Now, using AI-assisted restoration technology to bring their original decades-old recordings back to life, Chris and Carol have organized their most meaningful songs into a series of Family Healing Audio Songbooks — therapeutic music for mental, emotional, and spiritual health, designed to walk listeners through grief, doubt, disconnection, and fear, one lyric at a time.

This publication features the lyrics to every tune in songbooks one (1) through five (5) — I'd Do It Again, Well Done, Vintage, Zeal for Your House, and This Time.

Our Lyrical Life is more than a memoir. It's a legacy — a "blueprint," in the tradition of King David, passed down not for fame or industry recognition, but for family, faith, and future generations who may not be listening yet... but one day will need exactly what's been left for them.

In this book, you'll discover:

  • The prophetic 1991 commission that launched a 35+ year songwriting ministry

  • The "miracle" testimonies that redefined their calling

  • How weekly sermons were transformed into songs that shaped a generation of youth

  • The heart behind the Family Healing Audio Songbook series and how it can support your own family's healing journey

  • Lyrics and reflections from Songbooks 1–5 of the Family Healing Audio Songbook series

Perfect for readers who love: Christian memoirs, faith-based relationship stories, music ministry testimonies, and legacy-building keepsakes for family and grandchildren.

In Every Atom of Your Being: Our Lyrical Life is Volume 1 of a two-part series, followed by Volume 2: Healers of Broken Lives.

In Every Atom of Your Being: Healers of Broken Lives — Volume 2

"....And you shall be known as healers of broken lives."

A second prophetic word was also spoken over Chris and Carol Green on May 26, 1991 — a re-commissioning that would carry them through the most shattering season of their lives, and prepare them to become exactly what was declared over them: healers of broken lives.

Healers of Broken Lives picks up where Our Lyrical Life leaves off, taking readers into the deeper, harder chapters of Chris and Carol's journey — the years when the songs went quiet, and life itself became the refining fire.

What do you do with a BIG calling that must play out in obscurity?

After 17 years of fruitful ministry in St. Louis, the Greens answered a call to plant a new work in Pennsylvania. What followed was anything but what they expected: a congregation that never gathered, a facility they couldn't sustain, a home foreclosure, a townhome eviction, and a season of homelessness.

Drawing on the biblical image of the potter's house in Jeremiah 18, this book tells the story of how God shattered, ground down, and reshaped two "clay pots" — once vessels for nurturing young hearts and lives — into something entirely new: vessels of healing for a hurting world.

Inspite of being the targets of theft, fraud, betrayal and lies, Chris and Carol held on to one unchanging truth: We love God. We love each other. We love our family.

That steadfastness carried them into an unlikely season of government careers, community coaching, and eventually a life fully devoted to marketplace ministry — meeting broken people, not in a church building, but in an office cubicle, a hospital bedside, a resturaunt table, a hotel lobby, in an unemployment center, a women's shelter, a re-entry training facility, and in living rooms for house church gatherings.

While grieving the loss of Chris' mother, they rediscovered their original songs — decades-old recordings once "buried in the past" — and used AI music technology to bring them back to life with a professional new sound. What emerged was a Family Healing Audio Songbook series.

This publication features the lyrics to every tune in songbooks six (6) through ten (10) — Tabernacle Among Us, Never Could Have Known, Hear His Call, A Family Thing, and Wisdom — each one holds therapeutic music— born out of real brokenness, real restoration, and real faith.

In this book, you'll discover:

  • An honest, unflinching account of ministry setbacks, financial struggle, and spiritual rebuilding

  • How the potter's-house imagery of Jeremiah 18 became the blueprint for their transformation

  • The remarkable story of God's provision — two impossible job placements that arrived with perfect timing

  • Lyrics and reflections from Songbooks 6–10 of the Family Healing Audio Songbook series

  • A candid, encouraging word for anyone walking through delay, disappointment, or a season that doesn't look like what they expected

Perfect for readers who love: Christian memoirs of resilience and restoration, faith-based stories of loss and renewal, marketplace ministry testimonies, and legacy-building keepsakes for family and grandchildren.

carrying God's love, healing and hope to their personal and professional communities.
